As a LeapFrog Mom Ambassador, I receive products, promotional items, and educational material to use and share as I see fit. However, any opinions expressed by me are honest and reflect my actual experience.
The holidays are quickly approaching and many parents are trying to come up with great gift ideas for their young children. I know I am. Technology is huge for young kids, as well as educational games and products. Our family is a huge fan of LeapFrog and we have never been disappointed with their products.
As my boys age, (they are 5, 7, 9), they are leaning more towards technology based gifts instead of other options. My boys love our LeapFrog Leap Readers, LeapFrog Ultra, LeapFrog Platinum and now the LeapFrog Epic.
LeapFrog Epic™
The LeapFrog Epic™ is a tablet experience that adapts as your child grows, offering endless possibilities for exploration, learning and play. The first of its kid playable home screen can bring the child’s town to life. They can watch their world turn from day to night, change the weather, add animated characters and discover a new surprise every day.
As with all the LeapFrog tablets, you have access to exclusive content – games, apps, eBooks and more that draw from 2,600 skills, creativity and problem solving. Every app is Leapfrog certified to ensure there are no in app purchases, harmful third-party ads and only age-appropriate experiences. (This is my favorite feature of the LeapFrog tablets! Knowing that my kids can browse and play freely without stumbling upon something not kid-friendly).
The LeapFrog Epic™ tablet includes: 7” screen, 16GB memory, Wi-Fi, 2MP cameras, stylus and 20+ apps. The recommended ages are 3-9 years with a MSRP of $139.99.
All my boys LOVE this tablet and fight over this new tablet. I love it too!
Scout’s Build & Discover Tool Set
The boys were super excited to see this in the box I received. This is for children ages 2+ with a MSRP $19.99. This fun tool set fosters the love of learning with build counting and measuring skills. Toddlers can build a house for Scout using thee 5 playful tools with the playful guidance from puppy pal Scout. Counting, color matching and more learning is built into songs, phrases and build-along fun.
My boys are too old for this game, in my honest opinion. They are 5, 7, 9. Although to be completely honest they really wanted to play with it! I mean it is a tool set! I am gifting it to my nephew who is 18 months, as I know that he (and his older brother who is 5) will get much more educational and fun use out of it!
Number Lovin’ Oven
My niece (age 6) and boys tore open in to this box and immediately started playing with it using their imaginations. The LeapFrog Number Lovin’ Oven is recommended for ages 2+ with a MSRP of $24.99. This toy is the perfect recipe for number learning fun. Little chefs can enjoy pretend-play with fun learning secretly baked in. Children learn number skills, counting, sharing, fractions and more!
My boys are too old to keep this toy to play with on a regular basis. Although they do enjoy getting it out and playing with it. They love to use their imaginations as they bake me muffins or a fried egg. This would be a great gift if you have a toddler who loves to use his/her imagination and you want to encourage math concepts: connecting numbers 1-5, dividing equal parts, counting up and down, and more!
As an educator and mom, I love when toys are fun and educational. LeapFrog continues to hit the nail on the head with fun products that are not only engaging but fun too! If you are looking for EPIC gift ideas that fosters the love of learning with fun check out LeapFrog for your gift buying ideas.

It is trully amazing to see how much the tablets for kids have changed over the year. I remember our first Leapfrog tablet. It was amazing then, I can only imagine how great this new one is!
