We are well in to the swing of things for back to school. Our days are busy with school, sports, homework and instilling a love of learning (and reading). Oh boy! As a mom of three active boys, I was super excited to be chosen to participate in the LeapFrog Mom Squad. Asa a member of this group, I receive some fantastic learning LeapFrog products to use, review and share my experience with you!
Our family loves LeapFrog products. When we homeschooled, we incorporated LeapFrog products into our daily curriculum. The boys learned with the LeapFrog LeapReader and we continue to challenge to read together for 20 minutes a day. LeapFrog has amazing products to encourage the reluctant readers as well as challenge those who love reading.
As we #LeapBacktoSchool with LeapFrog, we were sent an amazing box full of goodies to get the boys excited about learning for the upcoming school year.
The boys have loved playing with the LeapPad™ Platinum. This tablet is amazing and you can tell such a marked improvement from the LeapPad Ultra (which we also own and love). The LeapPad Platinum tablet from LeapFrog features a 7” hi-res multi-touch capacitive screen and fast processor. It is geared towards ages 3-9.
You can have access to the learning library of over 1000 games! One of the features that I love is that it has a kid-safe web browser that lets kids explore content… without the fear that they will stumble upon something not age appropriate.
The LeapPad Platinum includes: 8GB memory to hold up to 40,000 photos or 100+ game apps, two cameras and video recorders and 10 apps: Music Player Plus 10 Songs, Pet Pad Party, Pet Chat, Photo Fun Ultra, 5 Utility Apps and a choice of 1 app download.
LeapPad™ Platinum is recommended for children ages 3-9 and has a MSRP price of $129.99.
We also received three super fun Imagicard game sets to use with our LeapPad Platinum. These games are a new concept for my boys as they are app based and no game cartridges to keep track of. We received Save Adventure Bay with the Paw Patrol! (which my 5 year old was a huge fan of), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the Letter Factory Carnival.
The Paw Patrol game tests their know-how by capturing cards to answer 50+ trivia questions on the topic of mathematics. The math concepts are for ages 3-5 and cover: number recognition, counting, shapes, patterns, addition and subtraction. My kindergartner loves Paw Patrol and really liked the reinforcement of these skills while playing this game.
My older boys (ages 7 & 9) really liked the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. During this game they team up with the Turtles to deploy shell-tastic mathematics skills to recover mutagen canisters that are scattered around the city. The math concepts are for ages 5-8 and cover: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and number composition.
The tried and true Letter Factory Carnival game encourages readers ages 4-7 with their reading confidence. This game features LeapFrog Just For Me™ learning, which personalizes the learning by adapting automatically during play, offering tutorials and more to keep kids challenged. I love this feature! This game helps reinforce phonics, spelling, consonants, word sounds and sight words. Learning happens all while they play.
AND… if you have more than one LeapFrog tablet you can use the same game/app on all the devices as long as you use the same parent email account on all devices. Score! This was so helpful for me since the boys all want to play the same game sometimes!
We are leaping back to school with LeapFrog products to reinforce what is taught during school.
As a LeapFrog Mom Ambassador, I receive products, promotional items and educational material to use and share as I see fit. However, any opinions expressed by me are honest and reflect my actual experience.

My oldest son LOVED LeapFrog products! We used them a little with my youngest kiddo but he had access to apps on ‘actual’ tablets so he much preferred those.

I have always loved Leap Frog products and how they keep coming out with new technology. That word hand held game looks interesting. I need to get my 8 yr old to speed up more in reading and help him on the computer reading more. Must admit I love toys that are educational like this.
