Happy Handstand Friday! This is the second week of the year and time for my second #handstandFriday photo. The photo from today is from this afternoon. I had planned on taking my upside down photo after my morning workout at PureForm PFT… but my arms and shoulders were so shaky I decided to wait a few hours.
We are moving… we have a move date and have officially found a house in the Kansas City area. I thought it would be fitting to do my handstand photo next to the sign in front of our house. Who knows… maybe next week it will be in front of a moving truck!? Oh the possibilities.
I am trying to work on holding my handstand for longer periods… rather than making the form pretty. I am finding that the more time I practice… the better I get. I guess this fun upside down challenge is the same for all things in life… in order to get good at something you need to practice it often. Practice makes progress.
Did you get upside down today? Did you join me?

Doing a handstand is def something I’m working towards! I’m proud to say that I can finally do a headstand in the middle of the room so I’m ready for the next challenge 😉

I finally mastered the handstand a year ago and since then have perfect my forearm stands as well due to yoga! All the variations like scorpion…SO relaxing to be upside down!

Hmm, I wonder if I can still do a handstand. I know pre-baby I could do a headstand.

I wish I could do a handstand!! I started working towards it in the summer but fell off. I was practicing by having my feet against a wall (though chest facing the wall not away). Any suggestions for working up to one? I had my sister hold my feet once and I felt so wobbly…gotta work on my core strength!

I’ve yet to hop on the handstand bandwagon. Truthfully I wouldn’t even know where to start…I could see myself crumpling into a ball on the floor in less than a second ! Suggestions on how to progress into a handstand?
