Hi friends! Happy Friday! Last week I shared with you a fun little challenge to do a handstand each week, take a picture to document the journey. I would love to see you (and your kids or significant other) upside down hanging out for #HandStandFriday Fun! No pressure. No special skills needed. Just a positive attitude and a willingness to let some blood flow to your head.
I convinced my oldest, 7 years old, to do a handstand with me again this week. He wasn’t too thrilled to be doing it against the gym wall. He would much rather be hanging out upside down on his own accord… using his core muscles for balance. I, on the other hand, totally opted for the help for the wall this week!
Interested in joining in on the upside down fun! Check out how you can play too!
If you have a blog, I would LOVE for you to write a post with your awesome handstand photo linking to me. Then please return here and share your post in the comments below!
If you are on facebook I would love for you to post your photo and tag @RunningRachel with your photo.

See the pattern! I would LOVE to see YOU hanging out upside down each week! This will and can be so much fun! I am super excited to see you hanging out… upside down… for handstand Friday!!

The last time I attempted handstand was during a yoga arm balance and inversions workshop last fall. The whole evening un-nerved me so much that I haven’t been back to yoga since. Obviously, I haven’t tried another handstand yet either 😉 Maybe this will be the weekend?

Love it!! I don’t have too many recent ones of me doing handstands, but I did post an old one to FB! When the hubs gets home tonight I’ll try to instagram one 🙂 I love handstands!!

How fun! I must admit that handstands are my nemesis. They freak me out!

I’m making it a goal to join this by summer.

I’ve been feeling ‘ugh’ lately so I doubt I could do a handstand without injuring myself or anyone else standing nearby. Perhaps after I get in some skiing this week I’ll feel more fit – it’s my first time in some 25 years!

I’m trying to get my 3 year old to do this. He’s keen but sadly, has inherited his mother’s grace and coordination 😉

I’ve done handstands with my husbands help – never against the wall. I want to be able to do one by myself. That’s a great goal for the year. Maybe I WILL post a picture once I get upside down. LOL!
