Yikes! Where has summer gone!? Yes, that seems to be the theme for most of my thoughts lately. I can not believe school starts tomorrow for my boys. We have fully enjoyed our summer exploring our new town, having fun and making memories. We have enjoyed mini vacations, Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun, KC Zoo, Lego Land, trips to the lake/beach, and more!
All of those fun activities have been fueled by lots and lots of snacks to make sure everyone is happy. A full tummy = a happy tummy, am I right Mom’s?
In preparation for back-to-school, and a quick family trip to Branson this coming weekend, I loaded the boys up and headed to our local WalMart (our SNACAKTION destination).
Yes, these two goofballs some how suckered me in to giving them gum prior to our shopping experience. They wanted to show off their attempt at blowing bubbles. Precious P has successfully blown a few small bubbles, but it is mainly lots of spitting, fart noises, and spitting their gum out. For now their tongue sticking out with gum on it is their best bubble attempt.
Armed with our grocery shopping list, we head to the market department to find the items on our list. We will be staying at the lake house, so many of our meal items and snacks needed can be made down there. Gotta love a vacation that means Mama still needs to make the meals.
My boys love their PB&J. It is a go to staple for lunches in our house. P found the peanut butter and jelly aisle and browsed the contents to find the peanut butter.
The T-man was excited to grab two flavors of the Smuckers Squeeze Jelly. The J.M. Smucker Company reached out to my family asking to share how our family prepares for a #snacakation … and my boys were glad to oblige. This meant that they got to choose a few fun new-to-them flavors!
On our way out of the store, with a cart full of groceries, snacks, and back-to-school items, we came across the Smucker’s Uncrustables. Oh man, these cute little faces put on their best, “Please Mama” faces. I agreed that these would be perfect for our Branson trip… and back to school lunches!
Stop by Walmart, your “SNACKATION” destination, to stock up on go-to summer snack solutions. We did!
These next few days will be a blur of first day of school activities and a family trip to Branson. I plan to share our experience at The Cliffs and our many snack creations when we return next week!

I”m not a big fan of the premade stuff (lots of ingredients that I can’t pronounce) but my kids used to beg for them!

I usually go to Trader Joe’s and get a bunch of different nuts and fruits for snacks – that and Quest Bars 🙂

We shop at King Sooper (Kroger) or Target. I like the Smuckers with the real fruit and strawberries in it. My kids literally live off pb&j I can’t get them to take a ham sandwich to school lol.

That seems so early to be starting school! And in the middle of the week? Luckily they’re probably still at the age where school is exciting.

I stock up on snacks at Trader Joe’s when I’m in the US – it’s my favourite!

WalMart is our go-to as well. I have never seen squeezable jelly before – that’s really cool!

I will stock up on snacks anywhere and everywhere 🙂

I’m a Trader Joe’s fan. I live in too urban of an area for a Walmart to be easily accessible, but I can walk to TJ’s. That said, we LOVE the Smucker’s Natural jellies with almond butter as a snack.

I used to hate PB&J like, until a few years ago haha. Such a great/classic snack! My all time favorite snack is probably apple or banana with any sort of nut butter 🙂
