Hi friends! Happy Tuesday. I am popping in this morning to share with you my weekly training plan and update you all on how I am enjoying the taper before the Boston Marathon (in 6 days!). Yikes!
Last week’s training:
Monday: 3.5 mile hike with the boys
Tuesday: 5 trail miles
Wednesday: rest
Thursday: rest
Friday: easy 3.5 miles with T
Saturday: 7.25 mile easy long run
Sunday: 8.25 mile family bike ride
This week’s training plan (what I plan to do):
Monday: 1 mile around the neighborhood with Fox4 News
Tuesday: 5 rolling hill miles at GMRP
Wednesday: rest
Thursday: 5-6 miles easy
Friday: rest and pack
Saturday: fly out to Boston
Sunday: 2 mile shake out run (??)
I am going to continue focusing on hydrating, eating good nutritious food to fuel my run next week… and spend quality time with the monkeys. T-man is enjoying running the trail with Mommy too. Love the taper!
Oh yeah, there is that little (HUGE!) event happening next Monday… Boston! I am super jazzed (terribly nervous) and excited to be a part of this epic race event! It will be my third full marathon and I am honored to take part on behalf of Team Stonyfield.
There you have it. Short and sweet… I just finished chugging my post-workout protein smoothie (recipe this afternoon) and now it is time to pick up the Tman from preschool. Have a fantastic week!
