A few weeks ago, I decided to challenge myself with my daily activity and movement. I promised to wear my Polar A360 or Polar M400 daily to track my activity and workouts. In addition to this simple change, I purchased the new Polar Balance scale. Now hear me out, this is no ordinary scale. Yes, it weighs and measures your weight… but it does so much more. In fact, it has been kicking my butt and challenging me to be more active each day in order to reach my goal.
When I plugged in all my information (weight, height, goal weight, daily activity), I was shocked to see that I was not moving enough in order to reach my health and fitness (weight loss) goal. My Balance doesn’t play around… she wants me to move all day and really be intentional about my workouts!
Using my Polar devices that are bluetooth compatible, I am able to sync my weight to keep record of how I am doing with my weight loss (or gain) goal. I can weigh myself and instantly sync my weight using my smart phone (using the free Polar Flow app), A360, A300, M400, V800 and Polar Loop. My weight loss/gain can automatically sync to MyFitnessPal if you choose to set it up that way. I personally like keeping track of my weight on that program also… knowing that I don’t have to log in to another website to log my weight is a plus for me.
I really like that I can see my progress each time I log in to the Polar Flow app. I can not only see my daily activity (how active or inactive I am) but also when I click on the balance tab, I can see how I am doing with my weight loss goals. There is a visual reminder to let me know if I am on or off track, needing to move more and eat less, or to keep doing what I am doing.
I like that the Balance focuses more on living an active lifestyle than eating less. We need to eat healthy food if we want to have lifelong successful results.
There are many great features of the Polar Balance scale that I want to share with you. They are listed in the image below:
I will be honest, the last few weeks have not been a cake walk when it comes to reaching my daily activity goal. For the past few years, I was able to reach my daily activity goal after a quick run. Now in order to reach my daily activity goal, I must have an intentional workout (using the heart rate monitor) and remain active throughout the day. There is satisfaction to seeing my A360 light up and do a little dance letting me know I reached my daily activity goal. Yay.
I am not going to share with you my weight, as it is my personal number. Sharing my tool (the Polar Balance Scale) that is helping me stay active and accountable in order to reach my weight loss goal is my desire with this post.
If you are a fan of Polar products, like I am, and are looking for a scale that will not only record your weight but will challenge you to stay active and to reach your weight loss goal in a healthy.. timely manner… check out the Balance Scale. I recommend it.
I purchased the Balance with my own money because I am a loyal Polar Ambassador and fan. My review is my own and I think that this product will benefit anyone who is looking for accountability with the extra challenge of staying active to meet their health and fitness goals.
