Why is it the first week after a vacation, or time away from home, you feel rushed and busy more than ever! I almost feel like I need another vacation to relax from cleaning up from our vacation! Silly, huh?
We had a great time up in Washington (I still have photos from our day trip to Seattle I want to share with you… soon!). This past week was filled with business to keep the kiddos happy, exercise to keep mama happy, and a few fun me time activities thrown in the mix.
I am in that in between stage with training seasons. I am still running for fun and really have no desire to run hard or super long (at this moment). However with this relaxed attitude toward fitness, I am finding myself get lazy. L.A.Z.Y.
I started PiYo this week and am really enjoying it. In fact, my 4 year old loves it too. I love that it is challenging me to work the areas that I don’t like to work (my core and upper body). Week one down and so far so good!
I am still working on my heart rate training while running. This is a very humbling experience to be honest. I will be running at a comfortable jaunt. Breathing through my nose. Quietly. Able to hum to a song or talk effortlessly. Yet my heart rate still soars above my zone.
Sometimes I can be a daredevil and not follow directions. This was a week where I just needed to run and sweat it out. I ran at a comfortable pace (my perceived effort was low yet my heart rate was high). Maybe my body still thinks I am on vacation!?
I am going to resume a running training plan next week. I will be running the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Festival in San Jose this October as a Rock ’n’ Blog Representative!
Run and train (virtually) with me! Interested in running this race (or any Rock ‘N’ Roll Race Series Events)!?

So I guess that means I need to pick a plan and start training! While keeping in mind to run for fun!
Besides running, picking a training plan, and doing PiYo, I was able to go and experience the Lorna Jane grand opening in Roseville, CA. I have reviewed Lorna Jane fitness attire before and love their line of clothing.
My personal favorite thing about Lorna Jane Active is their inspirational quotes on their tanks and shirts. The quality of their fabric they use is also great… but again. I am a sucker for their motivational quotes!
Ending the week with friends swimming and splashing to stay cool when the temperatures soared up to 110! It was hot. Thank goodness for friends’ who open their homes who have pools for us to swim and cool off!
This morning I will be running in my first Color Run with two girlfriends (and their daughters). I am excited to experience this fun run, with friends, and enjoy a little time away at the same time. Running is fun… and adding a splash of color will be fun too! I will be sure to take lots of photos and share my experience with you!
Life is busy. Never slowing down. This is my week in review. I left a lot of activities (the boring household chores and errand running) out and shared the fun. Piyo, running, racing, Lorna Jane, friends and more! Enjoy life… it is one big adventure!

I’m actually a Beachbody Coach so of course I am doing PiYo! I love it for the shoulders (total body really) and core. Umm… wait until you do buns… holy burning booty! haha You will actually start to notice that PiYo compliments your training plan. BTW I totally get needing a vaca after a vaca! After our honeymoon, I wanted another do-over!

Had to laugh. I could easily see my son doing that with me. I am just starting to train for a 10K. Need to look into all training options as this will be my first run farther than a 5K.

PiYo sounds very interesting! Once I get further along with my weight loss I’ll be picking up programs like this to help. Thanks so much for the great recommendation and I hope your training goes well!

I’ve been drooling over the Lorna Jane stuff online, I really need to see it in person.

You have so much fun! I love it!
No PiYo. Many RNR events. Yes to Lorna Jane apparel (quality stuff). Our temps are hottish but manageable. No color run.

Thanks for sharing the $10 off coupon. This looks like fun.

Great job! I have not started PiYo yet, still working through T25 — again lol

I’ve only seen Lorna Jane stuff after I started blogging, I didn’t even know it existed. I like all of her quotes on her tanks/tops, but I’ve never seen the quality. Next time I’m at the Galleria I’ll have to stop by there and check it out. On Saturday we left for our run around 9:30AM and that was still too late 🙁
Love seeing all the fun you and your little lovebugs have. You do so much for them, but also find time for yourself. The way you balance your life is very admirable. xoxo, ganeeban

Everyone is talking about PiYo, I may need to check it out! How do you get the DVDs? And also, those shirts are super cute! I’m a sucker for a good motivational running shirt 🙂

I really want to try piyo! I’ve never heard anyone say something bad about it.
