Life in our house has been crazy busy. When the boys aren’t in school we are outside playing with friends or at a sporting event. All moms are busy moms, and there are times when we need to let our hair down and add a little sweet to our day.
I decided to get a little crafty and make Silly Critter Pudding Cups to add to their lunch.
I make my boys lunches (when they don’t like what is offered for school lunch) and I wanted to add a little fun, sass and sweet to their home lunch.
When out shopping at my local Wal-Mart, I found these Hershey’s Ready to Eat Pudding cups in the refrigerated aisle near the dairy section. I couldn’t wait to try these, Hershey’s Pudding is a rich, creamy pudding made with real Hershey’s cocoa.
I found a coupon in the September/October issue of ALL YOU Magazine for a $0.55 off coupon for Hershey’s Ready to Eat Pudding! The Chocolate and S’mores flavors are the two that caught my eye first. I knew they would be a big hit with my boys… and Mama!
I wanted to surprise them when they opened their lunch box, to see a silly critter waiting for them. There are so many crafty and cute ideas that you can do also: turkey, bat, spooky snacks, owl, or monster. My craft idea was pretty basic… but the boys thought it was awesome.
I think my boys were most excited to have these pudding cups in their lunch. It was a fun way to make snacking fun!

Get silly with your craft. I made a sparkly spider, a sparkly alien, and a pudding cup with lots of eyeballs. Your children will not only be excited to see that you have included a tasty treat in their lunch box, but will giggle when they see you made it something silly.
My boys loved it and are already asking when I will make them something fun for their lunch again. I am thinking turkeys for next month… or monkeys (because I affectionately call them my monkeys).
Life is short. We might as well slow down, enjoy the chocolate, and get silly every once and awhile.

SUPER CUTE! I was never a picky eater growing up, but I’m sure doing something like this could help to get any picky eater to inhale some food!

So cute! Love this. I think my 14 year old would die of embarrassment if I included this in his lunch, but my niece and nephew would probably love them!

So cute! It’s little things like that they’ll remember forever. My daughter doesn’t “get” stuff like that yet, but I can’t wait to do fun little things like that! And S’mores=yes.

This is so cute! I don’t have kids, but I loved playing with crafts when I was a kid! I haven’t had chocolate pudding in a while, didn’t realize Hershey has their own brand.
