Happy Fitness Inspiration Friday! Each week I search the web for an inspiration fitness story to share with you! This week’s fitspiration is Christine.
I have completed 135 endurance events and given birth! My involvement in endurance sports predates event websites, triathletes old enough to be moms (except me), and bladed spokes. Currently, I am SW Triathlon Series Champion AG. For years, I did the Trek for Trash, a 500mi 5day ride through NM punctuated by picking up roadside trash and sponsored by our triathlon-beast governor, Gary Johnson. I am now preparing for my 5th Bataan Death March at White Sands Missile Range.
I really have no future goals except to just stay fit. I love training and do events because I can.
I LOVE being outside, building relationships with the coyotes, geckos, crows and jackrabbits on the desert paths I run on. I LOVE the love/hate of cranking it out up a hill and the sheer thrill of going like hell down the other side. I love demonstrating the best, most powerful part of me and keeping it a secret all day long.
There were years when I needed motivation, but not so much anymore. It’s become who I am. For others who do? Just remember, if you’re out there? Somewhere, I’m out there too.
