Happy Motivation Monday, friends! This week I have embarked upon a new challenge (again) of recording my food each day. Your body keeps an accurate journal regardless of what you write down. Your body keeps track of all the food that you consume (healthy or junk) and the activity level you choose.
I have found that I do a lot of mindless eating throughout my day. Those mindless calories add up and are not even enjoyed.
I have been keeping a food log the past few days, and I must say it is eye opening. There are times when I do not want to write down those mindless snacks or sneaked treats. However, I know that would not be helpful for anyone.
On the flip side, wouldn’t it be fun if our bodies were like a computer program where we could plug in what we “ate” and what we did for fitness… and our body would recognize that as truth? I would be one fit athletic chick!
But… life is not like that. We are responsible for our own actions. Our own. We choose what we put in our bodies. We choose how active we will be each day.
Keep it Real. Keep it Simple. Keep it Honest. Your body keeps tab!
Do you keep a food journal?
Tara Burner says
what timing…the Fit Feb Challenge is about food and workout journaling 🙂
I am working on keeping track of what I eat and journaling it all

No – I did for a while and it helped me change my habits – though I’ve been hungrier lately from my training, so it may be beneficial for me to go back to journalling in order to force myslef to make up those burned calories with NUTRITIOUS calories… Thanks for the reminder!

Girl I have been using my Fitbit Ultra and I have been logging it all down. I Love this little gadget!

I love this quote! You can try and convince yourself that all the little extras don’t add up, but the waistband on your favorite jeans doesn’t lie!
I don’t journal religiously, but every few weeks I use MyFitnessPal to plan my meals for a few days in a row. It helps me see whether I’ve gotten off track with respect to macro nutrient goals (I don’t count calories).

I meant to restart mine today and did not – reminds me that I will be restarting it TOMORROW! For sure. 🙂

I’ve dabbled in it, but what I wrote, as you discuss, didn’t always match up with the truth about what I ate. I’m about to try starting fresh and keeping an HONEST log in February!
Love the quote/image.
