I am a group of fun, fitness minded friends called FitFluential. A few weeks ago they initiated a fitness challenge to their members. They challenged each of us to do a handstand… and even upped the anty to do a handstand PUSH-UP! Not one to pass up a fun challenge, I decided to accept the handstand challenge. I even challenged my 6 year old son to join me on our quest to do a handstand.
I must admit, it was fun flipping around in the yard and acting like a kid again with my children. Sometimes the best exercise is child’s play. Who knows, maybe if I spent my fitness time jumping on the trampoline, climbing trees, riding bikes, and racing the neighbor dog up and down the fence I would be one fit Mommy!?

Rachel, you totally ROCK!! I am afraid to try this–I was the kid who could never, EVER do a cartwheel, and I don’t think my forty-something body would withstand the impact if I tried to do a handstand. YOU, however, make it look effortless! Way to inspire the rest of us!!

haha! Thanks! I didn’t actually do the handstand PUSH-up. More of a handstand dip and then fall. 😉
