My friend, Tara, graciously offered me to read and review her book, Dear God, Are you there? I featured Tara a few weeks ago as one of my fitspirations. She is not only a fitness inspiration to me, but also her spiritual wisdom is inspirational. She is a phenomenal woman and I am glad to call her my friend.
There are many books on the market today that are question answer based. The past few weeks, I have reviewed a similar books such as A Conversation with God for Women and Max on Life.
Dear God, are You there? is for anyone who has gone through trials, tribulations wondering where God was during those times as well as during the great times when we know He’s there. It speaks differently to each that reads it but is backed with Scripture for understanding and answers. Some of the subjects covered are: health, finances, children, spouses, faith and even death.
What makes this book different from others? The main difference is that Tara answers life’s everyday questions with a Biblical response from God’s WORD. She doesn’t paraphrase or preach. Tara doesn’t give her opinion of what God thinks about a particular subject.
She answers the cries of people, their frustrations and questions with God’s Word: Bible Verses.
Each verse is carefully chosen to coincide with the question/concern/frustration.
If you or someone you know is questioning whether or not God is there, this would be a great book to explore God’s Word more – for themselves.
Here is an excerpt from her e-book that spoke to me (today) as I type this review:
Dear God, are You there? How do I know if what I’m doing is right? I try to pray and be still and listen but the ‘be still and listen’ part is hard when kids are screaming, phones are ringing, my thoughts are zooming through my head. I know the Holy Spirit is within me and can guide me, so why can’t I just stop long enough to really listen? I’m constantly wondering if I’m making the right decisions and going in the right direction.

Thank you, Tara, for giving me an opportunity to read and review your book! As always, with all my reviews, the opinions expressed above are my own. No compensation was received for my honest review.
