I firmly believe that you can achieve whatever your heart desires. Like with most things in life, in order to see change one must put forth the hard work: time, commitment, dedication and effort.
I personally have found that my faith is strongest when I have a positive uplifting attitude about my life’s circumstances. When I slack from spending time in the Word, my attitude also slacks. I become a grumpy, negative, not so fun to be around, lady. My attitude is a clear indication of how often (and how well) I spend time studying God’s Word.
My family and children can attest that Mommy’s attitude does not always smell like roses. My patience wanes and the tantrums begin (from everyone). When I choose to have a positive attitude and live each moment – in the moment – life is good. I must choose to be positive and make a conscious effort and put forth that attitude.
Many times in my own fitness journey, I find that my attitude stinks. I struggle with the I can’t, or it is too hard. Yet, when I commit to making a dedicated change… my attitude makes a shift also. I must commit to change in order to see the results I seek. Attitude is key to reaching fitness goals.
Attitudes
by Pastor Chuck SwindollWords can never adequately convey the incredible impact of our attitude towards life. The longer I live, the more convinced I become that life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we respond to it.
I believe the single most significant decision I can make on a day-to-day basis is my choice of attitude. It is more important than my past, my education, my bankroll, my successes or failures, fame or pain, what other people think of me or say about me, my circumstance or my position. Attitude keeps me going or cripples my progress. It alone fuels my fire or assaults my hope. When my attitudes are right, there’s no barrier too high, no valley too deep, no dream too extreme, no challenge too great for me.
I am committing to owning a positive, uplifting attitude. I choose to reach for the stars and challenge myself with my goals: faith, family, fitness. I can do it with a positive attitude and hard work!
How has attitude effected your daily life?
If you can dream it, you can achieve it!

Wow I needed this reminder this morning.
While I usually am able to stand in faith and know that He supplies all we need….lately that hasn’t been the case. My favorite verse used to be “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” but lately again not ‘feeling’ it. I’ve tried to get myself outta the funk and stay focused on Him but haven’t been so successful in doing so…
even my workouts have slacked off because of my ‘mood’
Normally I”m positive, upbeat but being hit with one adversity over another and another and another nonstop for the last 6 months, my attitude hasn’t been the best lately.
this may just be the reminder I need….
Thanks 🙂

I needed to read this! My mind is often my worst enemy and lately it’s been telling me all kinds of negativity. Thank you for reminding me that nothing is impossible with Him!

Attitude definitely plays a big role in my life – when I’m feeling positive and happy, I respond to my kids antics differently and as a result the kids are happier. With fitness, it’s the same way – when I have a positive attitude going into a workout, I can push myself, harder & further. I think paying careful attention to what leads to the “I don’t wannas” will make a huge difference.
