I love living in northern California – where the climate is mild enough year round.
I have been wanting to do a winter garden for a few years … but never got around to it.
My friend, Tonia, inspired me to jump on it after hearing about her adventures of putting her winter garden together (while wrestling her two little boys).
I have planted: red onion, 2 types of lettuce, broccoli and brussle spouts.
My strawberry plants survived the frost… and so did a lettuce from this past summer!!
C is SO excited about his growing vegetables! Too bad it takes a while for them to grow – that is another concept to teach him – patience!!
Looking forward to harvesting our winter garden … and then starting our summer garden!!

You had me at STRAWBERRIES!
How exciting! I'll admit, I'm jealous. I would love to start a garden and have never got around to it (nor would I know what to plant in winter vs. summer). You're inspiring, for sure. Can't wait to hear about the progress!
