What would you do if money were no object? Would you travel the world? Would you buy glamorous things? What if you could live your life and achieve your financial bucket list items… by making a few small changes to your spending?
It is possible. It may be hard. Sometimes hard things are worth the struggle.
I have many items on my financial bucket list: owning a home, paying off debt, traveling the world, financial freedom.
With our health, fitness and weight loss goals… we commit to a plan to reach our goal. The same thing is true for our financial bucket list.
We must challenge ourselves to save for and cross off something that might not be as important NOW so we can live the life we want later.
What would you be willing to give up now so that this time next year you are on your way to backpack Europe (okay that is a bucket list item of mine)? Perhaps your goal is to go on a cruise, see a famous land mark, travel somewhere special, or even pamper yourself!? You are worth it.
Those small purchased items of $5 here and $10 there add up over the course of the year.
I am committing to stop the silly, frivilous, mindless spending over things that I don’t really need (I just want at that moment). I am committing to set aside $20 or more each month.
Sit down, review your budget (or even better, make one if you don’t have one!) and challenge yourself to find $20, $50, $100, any amount, that you can save monthly.
Make your financial bucket list a priority and imagine that awesome feeling when you cross something off!
