Ten things that I am thankful for:
-
My God. I am thankful that I believe in a God who loves me unconditionally – faults and all! I am thankful that He loves me more than I could ever repay or show him my appreciation in return.
-
My husband. I am thankful for my hardworking, handsome husband. He and I have been a couple for over 12 years!! He is my best friend, my partner, and my partner in crime. I am thankful for everything he does for Me, our family, and love him dearly!
-
My children. I am thankful for my three handsome, healthy, ACTIVE boys! My life is richer and full of nonstop adventure being a mom of three little boys. I am thankful that God has blessed me with my children. I love my boys!
-
My family. I am thankful for my loving family (my blood family and my married into family). My family is a diverse group of people of various opinions and backgrounds, but I am thankful that we make it work. Love is what holds us together.
-
Home. With all the rain and wind we had this past winter and now the heat and sun this summer; I am thankful for our home. I am thankful that I have a place to rest my head each night, shelter over my head, a place to keep me dry, cool, warm. A place to call home!
-
My health. I am thankful for my health and that I have full use of my five senses. Even though there are days where I wish life would quiet down (kids) – I cherish those loud squeals. I am thankful for the air I breathe, the lungs that pump air into my body and a healthy heart!
-
Running!! I have always been a runner… and I am super thankful that my health & body are able to keep me running. Running keeps me happy and sane! I am thankful that I can run!
-
The sunshine!! I love the sun!! I love the sun!! I love the sun!! Can you tell that I love the sun? 🙂
-
Friends & Neighbors. Living far from my family, I have come to rely on my friends and neighbors as my family. They help keep me grounded, make me laugh, and even help me take a load off from time to time to just enjoy being ‘Me’.
-
My job. I am a full time never-at-home stay-at-home Mom. I am thankful that I am able to stay at home with my kids. I pray that one day in the future my children will look back and thank me for putting them first.
That is it. Pretty simple, right? Are you interested in playing along with us? Over the next 9 days we will have a writing prompt featuring ten things!!

Hi Rachel, I have been following your blog and this is my first comment. I learnt long back that ‘gratitude’ is the most positive of human emotions, while ‘guilt’ being the most negative.
I realized this while reading your post – with tears welling up in my eyes. How too often we take our blessings (family, health, grace) for granted!
I started compiling my own list of ‘things I am grateful for’ but ended up repeating most of the stuff from this post of yours!
Have fun, and keep writing!
