I want to wish all my readers a Hoppy Easter! I hope that you enjoyed your day with your family, friends, and loved ones while celebrating the reason for this day. He is risen!! (How cool is that!?)
Unfortunately, our Easter Sunday didn’t start off very ‘hoppy’. In fact, Peyton slept in (Praise!!) only to share his first sentence of the day, “I not feel good” with a 100.2* fever. No church for us.
We enjoyed a lazy Sunday morning. The morning started off with lots of rain and gloom… so the relaxed morning was well received. We had Swedish pancakes for brunch and enjoyed lots of outdoor play.
We opened our spring baskets (full of gardening supplies, candy, and small toys for Mom & Dad to gripe about later), and enjoyed a traditional egg hunt.
We enjoyed a long eventful morning. Tristen took a late nap, while the big boys and Daddy played outside (playing baseball, riding bikes, and listening to a Giants game).
Later when Tristen woke from nap (I packed him in the ERGO) and I took our dog down the hill to run for a while. A short hike (1 mile) to get my heart pumping and enjoy the fresh air.
This evening, we enjoyed a family pizza & movie night. We were originally going to watch a Superman movie – but it was WILDLY not the rating they advertised. We had to make a sudden change (which upset Calvin) and watched Chicken Little instead.
We all enjoyed the light hearted movie much better and were able to relax and enjoy family night.
Of course, LOTS of chocolate and candy were consumed… and more will be eaten this week. We are praying for HEALTH and HAPPY children. Have a fantastic week!
