Hi Friends. I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving! This is my week two update for the Holiday Hoedown challenge over at shrinkingjeans. I have ‘met’ some wonderful people over there who are all extremely supportive and motivational. I hope that I can return the favor in the coming weeks.
I know that with the holidays comes emotional eating (which I talked about earlier today) and weight gain. I love how this challenge not only challenges us to do our best to remain active throughout the holidays, but to also make healthy eating choices.
One of my friends asked a general question a few days ago, “Where do you want to be ON New Years Day?” with regard to fitness and weightloss. Many times we think we can binge and be lazy during the month of December… only to kick it in high gear January 1st. Usually this plan of attack does not work. My hope is that I will continue to make smart choices and be active. I know that I have an intense new years resolution goal (to complete p90x with some friends) and starting from scratch on that day would be a shock to my system! I plan on stepping into the new year with a headstart on my fitness and weightloss goals.
What are 3 things I am going to do to stay on track this month?
- Journal (blog) each week – my successes and struggles
- Chug water… lots and lots of water!!
- Plan – meal plan, workout routine, schedules. I am more successful with (whatever I try to do) when I plan ahead
To keep things honest – and help hold me accountable – here is my scale pic for the week:
I lost 1lb this week!
I am uber excited, because I was not sure how the scale would react to my yummy meals from this past weekend! Success… and I am continuing to keep chugging along on this health, fitness, and weightloss journey!
