Meet Rachel

Hi! Welcome to my blog!

IMG_0165_thumb I’m Rachel – One mom who is running through life one day at a time. You may have already met me though Twitter (@RunningRachel), where I spend time chatting about my adventures in parenting, finding time for fitness, and growing in my faith.

You will find that my focus on Running Rachel is simply one mom’s journey trying to balance family, faith, fitness, sometimes food and always fun! I am not an expert, just simply an over worked, over tired Mom trying to make a positive impact in the lives of those I meet.

My family…
2011-10-05 047_thumb[1]I married my college sweetheart almost 9 years ago and we have THREE active little super heroes. Calvin is 5, Peyton is 3 and Tristen just turned 2. My husband and I love being active with them and teaching them about healthy living. These little apples didn’t fall far from the tree – they’re all very athletic just like us. Calvin loves climbing trees, dirt bike riding, swimming, and gymnastics. Peyton loves riding bikes and doing gymnastics. Little Tristen is following in his big brothers footsteps by running, jumping, and copying their every move.

As for me…
I LOVE to run! Running is my exercise soul-mate. I have always been a runner (think back to elementary/junior high cross country). I have never loved racing, but know that racing helps keep me motivated with my fitness journey: challenging me to do my best.

Future goals…
I’m a goal-oriented person, I thrive on setting goals and creating plans to reach them. I’m currently training for a really big 2012 which I hope will include: many road races, a few half marathons, and perhaps even a FULL marathon.

Follow and join me, as I run through life (faith, family, fitness and fun) one day at a time.

Thanks for stopping by!

Rachel
