The cold weather has hit the Midwest. Winter is here. For me, this means indoor workouts like running on the treadmill and at home DVD’s to get my workouts in. For my dog, Daisy, her workouts are limited due to the extreme cold, ice, and wind. When Mama and Daisy don’t get our workouts in… we get a bit cranky.
Finding time and scheduling your workouts to stay healthy and active during the winter are key! I have shared multiple tips and tricks on what has worked for me in the past.

5 Habits to Stay Healthy
Knowing what to do and actually doing it are two completely different things. I know what to do to stay healthy and active during the cold winter months, but I don’t necessarily practice it on a daily basis. This is where blogging comes in and helps me be accountable.
Tips to keep you and your pet healthy and active during the cold winter months:
-
Bundle up – Use appropriate cold weather attire to bundle up and stay warm. We know what to wear to keep us (humans) warm. Finding a cute warm jacket for our pup can help them stay warm… or keep their paws from getting frosty.
-
Get outside and Move – Going outside (bundled up) even for short amounts of time for fresh air and movement do wonders for mood, energy levels, and health!
-
Eat Whole Healthy Foods – Eating whole foods help you (human) stay healthy when the germs are running wild. This also pertains to your furry friend, eating whole healthy foods like Nulo will keep your pup healthy during the cold winter months. Nulo‘s unique recipes uses fresh chicken, lamb and salmon and pairs them with yummy things like apples, carrots, lentils, and sweet potato.
-
Probiotic – We as humans need a good healthy probiotic to help maintain or boost our intestinal track and immune system to keep us healthy. Nulo’s patented probiotic, BC30, supports your pet’s immune system, provides improved nutrient absorption, reduces gas and improves stool quality, and prevents growth of yeast organisms that may cause skin problems and ear infections.
How Nulo will help keep your pet healthier this winter:
