I am not sure where to even begin. I feel fluffy. I feel squishy. I do not feel like myself. I ache. My weight has crept back up (thank you Halloween candy, Thanksgiving dinners, and Christmas cookies). I feel very self-conscious about myself, the way my clothes fit, and my body. I am still passionate about health and fitness… I just realized that I got off track.
I need to get back to what I know works… for me. Three years ago, I was in the best shape of my Mom life. Before that, it was about 5 years ago. Pretty much the same plan… different results.
When I thought I knew better than what was working for me… my weight crept back up, my muscle turned to squish, and my clothes didn’t fit anymore. Sigh.
Now, this is my story… my realization. It stinks when you look back and realize that you should have continued doing and pressing forward when you were seeing success… even if it wasn’t the quick way or the easy way.
I have decided to go back to beachbody products, including drinking shakeology and doing their fitness programs. For me, it works!
I love the accountability, the nutrients my body is getting, and the challenge of the variety of fitness programs. I also love the community of like minded individuals.
I am going back to what works for me… even if YOU may not agree with what I am doing.
This is my journey… and I need to get back to basics: nutrition and movement with accountability and motivation.
My fitness plan for the week:
Tuesday: 3 easy miles + upper body
Wednesday: 4.5 easy miles + yoga/piyo
Thursday: full body strength (random BOD program)
Friday: 3 easy miles + Yoga/PiYo
Saturday: Family Day
Sunday: 4.5 miles
I am still working on my nutrition, but I think I have decided I am going back to the 21 Day Fix nutrition (container) method. This worked for me before… recording my meals and staying accountable for what I eat.

Good for you!! You need to do what works for YOU! I have an entire Beachbody DVD collection as well and have the 21 day fix containers. I’ve never really followed through though. A constant battle. Good luck!!

Like Sue, I too have Beachboy programs, containers and shakeology. I can’t seem to stick with it. I don’t like to workout at home and I’d rather chew my food. It is such a successful program for so many people. I wish you the best of luck!
