I love running on the trails: paved and dirt! I am not too picky when it comes to the surface or the location of my runs. In fact, I love whipping out my phone mid-run to take a picture of the beauty I see on my run. This often results in me running with my phone in my hand the majority of my run.
Now mind you, this is not dangerous, unless you are like me and tend to be clumsy. In fact, on my last single track dirt trail run, I biffed it hard! I must not have picked up my feet enough and I tripped over a tree root (or rock, I honestly didn’t see what I tripped over). I fell face down, in the mud, and my phone went flying!
Don’t worry, I was okay. My ego was a little bruised (along with my knees). I was just thankful that no one saw me wipe out! Ha! I am sure it was a hilariously awful sight! I am thankful that I did have my cell phone with me just in case something worse were to happen to me.
Exercising and staying fit is an essential piece of the puzzle when trying to be healthy. Today, many people don’t like to be separated from their phones. It is a part of us. Also, many people use it to track their workout. I know I have my phone with me almost all the time. Using your mobile device during a workout can leave the device vulnerable to drops or other accidents. Corning® Gorilla® Glass provides added protection.
Whether I am on a run by myself, with friends, or chasing the boys on bikes, I like to document the adventure with photos. Sometimes my sweaty hands make my phone slippery and I have been known to drop it mid stride. Gorilla Glass 4 performs up to 2x better than competitive glass designs in devices dropped from 3 feet high. This can save your phone from getting the dreaded shattered screen!!
I am thankful to have documented the boys first 5K race last fall. Of course, my photos aren’t studio quality because I was too busy running alongside my boys to get the perfect shot… but knowing that with Gorilla Glass 4, the focus is on improving damage resistance against sharp contact, such as a drop on asphalt, concrete, and other rough surfaces. This was perfect as the ground we were running on was a rough surface, and I knew my phone was protected.
My boys often like to flex their muscles to show me how strong they are on a daily basis. Here is a quick 10 minute HIIT workout routine that you can do at home using your body weight. No weights. No fancy equipment. Just you, your body and a timer!
Workout: Simply do these THREE moves as many rounds as you can for 10 minutes.
10 Push-Ups
10 Squats
10 Sit-Ups
Move your body. Don’t give up. Work hard those 10 minutes! You are strong… Gorilla Strong! Tough, yet beautiful!
Corning® Gorilla® Glass has been used on nearly 4 billion devices from 40 major brands. Is it on yours? Click here to find out <link to http://corninggorillaglass.com/en/products-with-gorilla>

I miss having Gorilla Glass on my phone. It is one of the best things ever! I do have an Otterbox, which I never take off.
Mar @ Mar on the Run says
my phone screen i currently cracked from dropping it. Argh! i wish there was a fancy story to it – I wasn’t even using it or working out at the time. i’ll need to do something to protect it once i get it fixed.

I try to keep my phone zipped in a pocket but I’ve been known to drop it. Luckily my case has protected it except that one time it smashed to bits on ceramic tile.

I don’t have Gorilla Glass on my phone but I hear it’s one of the best. Ugh, I hurt just from hearing about you wiping out on the trail! I like that HIIT workout too, never gets old!
