This week I am focusing and sharing on my goals for 2015. I have decided to make small changes to my daily routine with the hope that those small changes will over time yield big results. I am also focusing on adding things to my routine rather than take things away. For me, if I know I can’t have it… I want it all the more. By adding a simple small change each day (or week) I am better able to stick to my goals.
One of my goals for 2015 is to be consistent with taking a multivitamin. I struggle with remembering to take my daily vitamin, but I know that I need to take a supplement because my nutrition is never 100%.
When it comes to eating healthy, even the best meal planners may find it difficult to get all of the vitamins and minerals they need every day from food alone. In fact, you may be surprised to learn that many adults don’t get enough of six essential nutrients – vitamins A, C, D, and E, and the minerals calcium and magnesium!
A complete multivitamin like Centrum® delivers a combination of key vitamins and minerals to help fill the gaps in one’s diet to help ensure you get the recommended daily amount of key vitamins and minerals.
According to a new survey from Prevention and Centrum, over three quarters of Americans (78%) believe it is fairly easy to get the recommended daily values of vitamins and minerals by eating a healthy, balanced diet. Yet, only nearly half of those polled (48%) are concerned they may not be getting enough of one or more key nutrients from their current diet.
I am working on my core nutrition by tracking my macros each day… and I like having the confidence knowing that a complete multivitamin like Centrum helps me to fill in the gaps where my meals leave off. I like to think that a multivitamin will help improve my overall health, contribute to my immune system and help me meet my health and fitness goals.

Now, to remember to take them each day… that will be the biggest challenge for me.

I am never consistent with taking my vitamins either. The only time I was, was when I was taking my prenatal vitamins… I really should get back to taking a daily multivitamin. Tanks for the reminder!

I am glad I am not alone… and you are welcome! 🙂

It’s true even the best eaters need vitamins too. Since I am a vegetarian, I feel I miss out on a few important vitamins so I do take one daily. I take it at night when I brush my teeth.
Rachel says
Oh great tip! I like the take it at night before bed… because sometimes when I take my (handful of) vitamins it makes my tummy ache. 🙂

I am the WORST at remembering to take a multivitamin. I like the gummy ones because they taste good so I seem to remember those more often.
Rachel says
Haha… I am guilty of liking the gummies too. In fact, I buy my HUSBAND adult gummies to he will actually take them. 😉

I have attempted to take multi vitamins and I obviously do not like swallowing multiple pills. I used to take Centrum for active woman. Their vitamins are very good.
Rachel says
Yes. I agree.

It sounds like most of us are in the same boat. We mean well but really terrible at being consistent with it. I try to have two bottles..one at my desk at work and one at home
Rachel says
Haha! Love that method… so in case you forget at home… you can take it at work. 😉

I am the WORST at remembering to take my multi or any other supplement. It’s easier for me to remember right before bed, but sometimes I feel like taking my vitamin before bed actually keeps me awake. Oh the struggle 😉
Rachel says
Yes. You are the second person to share that they take their vitamins before bed… I should totally try it! 🙂 … just so long as it does NOT keep me awake like you shared 😉

Even if you only remember most days you are better off. I love my daily multi-vitamin focused on women health — even if I don’t take it daily. Which reminds me, I did forget the past two days! Getting back on the school/work routine has thrown me off.
Rachel says
Thank you! I guess I am on the right track (every so often vitamin taker). 😉
Christine @ Love, Life, Surf says
I am the worst about taking a multivitamin! I know that I should – or at least try to! But I love your approach in taking small steps. Those small steps really can make a big difference!
Rachel says
Thank you. Yes… small steps consistently moving forward… means you are still making progress. 🙂
