Happy Monday! This week for me, like most of you, is filled with holiday plans, family gatherings, and unexpected twists and turns. I am going to make (and share) my fitness plan for the week… but since we are not sure exactly what the week will hold… who knows what will happen.
This past week’s fitness has been filled with new challenges and new adventures. I tried out a new gym (workout style) and will be doing it for the next 6 weeks (or we move… whichever happens first). I stuck to my meal plan from last week and felt great and it opened my eyes to how poorly I was eating before. I am confident in my running abilities, albeit I may not be as fast as I was this time last year… but I am getting out there and covering those miles. Lessons learned, challenges excited about, and looking forward to the future.
Last week was a lot more strength training than I usually do (which is good) and not a whole bunch of miles. I will figure this all out in the future… but for now, as I type. I am sore. A good sore. It was a good week.
Last Week’s Fitness Plan (What I did):
Monday: 3 mile treadmill run
Tuesday: 4 miles treadmill run + bootcamp
Wednesday: 5.5 miles treadmill run
Thursday: rest
Friday: PureForm PFT Strength + 2 mile walk
Saturday: PureForm PFT Strength 50 minutes upper focus
Sunday: 10.8 running miles (10 easy + 4×100 strides RI + CD)
This Week’s Fitness Plan (What I plan to do):
Monday: PureForm PFT strength
Tuesday: Run 6 miles
Wednesday: PureForm PFT strength
Thursday: Merry Christmas
Friday: family hike
Saturday: family hike
Sunday: Run? 12 miles
As you can tell my end of the week plan is very iffy. I am not sure of our family plans for Christmas… so that makes my fitness plan on hold too. I know we will be active… I am just not sure exactly what we will be doing.
Regarding meal planning and nutrition this week, I am going to be sticking to a similar plan as last week’s nutrition plan. I really thrived on how I had every meal and snack planned and portioned. Even if I snacked on one of the boys crackers or chips, I knew I wasn’t too far off my plan.

The working out is always the easy part for me, so I am in awe every time someone says they stuck to a meal plan. I eat well, but I’ve just never been able to follow a plan!!
Jen @ Pretty Little Grub says
I can’t follow a meal plan at all. I change my mind about what I want to eat and it takes a lot of preparation which I’m bad for.
This upcoming week is challenging for everyone but I allow myself to indulge a little. It’s once a year so I don’t get upset at myself if I don’t make all my planned workouts or have more chocolate than usual.

This is definitely a tough week to get working out to happen. For me I figure it’s ok If nothing happens this week because my back injury is still healing. Have a wonderful holiday and enjoy this great time with your family!

This week my strategy is anything is better than nothing. It’s an extremely tough week for fitness and your plan looks great! You got it mama!
I’ll be Treadmill running and HIIT workouts most of the week!

Way to go with workouts and meal planning! I do not meal plan, I just go with the flow on what I want that day. But my workout schedule stays the same week to week on what type of workout I do.
MCM Mama says
My goal this week is to just not catch the stomach bug my 3rd grader brought home. Ugh. I haven’t even thought about Christmas Eve dinner, much less my workouts. And the tree has no ornaments. This may be the lamest holiday ever.

I have zero fitness plan this week, lol. And I’m OK with that!

I’m staying active daily in any way I can for however long I can.
Great week of workouts!

kudos to you for sticking to a meal plan this week! I just ate cake for breakfast, so clearly I’ve fallen hard off of the holiday wagon, haha! Happy Holidays!
