Nutrition and exercise go hand in hand. I know that I (and you) have heard many times that you can not out train a bad diet. Proper diet and nutrition is important to optimal key nutrition.
Whether you have food allergies, intolerances, or just learning to eat foods that are good for you… paying close attention to what you eat is important.
Many of my close friends have switched over and are leaning towards a gluten free lifestyle. They find that they are not only feeling better but are LOOKING better also. Paying close attention to what goes in your body and how that food makes you feel is important.
5 Tips to Staying Healthy and Active
- Make a Fitness/Nutrition plan for the week. Put it in your planner/calendar like a doctors appointment. This is scheduled. You have planned and prepared for this event/meal. Keep it.
- Make baby steps. Keep moving forward. Even slow, small, steady steps will be moving you in the right direction of your health and fitness goals.
- Drink your water! I know I have shared this before, but proper hydration is so important for your physical health and mental well being. Drink your water!
- Read the nutrition labels. This is important whether you have a food sensitivity or not. You want to make sure you know what is going in your body.
- Have fun! Spice things up. Change up your fitness routine. Try a new recipe. Variety is the spice of life… live it up.
I have tried and enjoyed a few of Udi’s Gluten Free products. Udi’s is the #1 gluten-free brand in America. I love knowing what is in this product and that it is good for me.
I really like how they have created a free online community that is full of support to learn about various gluten free topics such as: the basics of living gluten free, recipes, gluten free kids and family, health and wellness and even glean insight from those who are currently on the journey.
I am learning more about the gluten free lifestyle and how the health benefits of going gluten free can help me and my family. I am a work in progress with my nutrition… but am always learning.
