Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post written for a campaign with Staples. I was given free products to use for my own fitness endeavors. All opinions and experiences are my own.
Have you ever wished there was an easy button or tool to help you with your health and fitness goals? I know I have. I would love to have an easy button that worked in all aspects of my life. However, with health and fitness… we must actually put in the work. We must learn to make MORE happen in our already busy day to see the results we seek.
There are so many fitness tools and gadgets on the market. I love fitness products! These fitness tools can actually help you not work MORE but actually work BETTER in order to reach your health and fitness goals. You can use movement tracking devices, heart rate monitors, apps, and more to help you monitor, challenge and record your journey.
FitBit One
One nifty little gadget you can use to track your daily activity is the FitBit One. I have been using my fitbit off and on for a year. Check back here often, because I will be giving away a fitbit one!
If you want to turn fitness into a lifestyle, the One™ is for you. For starters, it never rests. During the day, it tracks your steps, distance, calories burned, and stairs climbed. Come nightfall, it measures your sleep quality, helps you learn how to sleep better, and wakes you in the morning. The One™ motivates you to reach your goals by bringing greater fitness into your life – seamlessly, socially, 24 hours a day.
FitBit Aria
I have a love-hate relationship with the scale. It makes me sad and angry when I stop on it and record my weight in my notebook. This scale still has not-so-nice numbers flashing at me when I stand on it. However, what makes the FitBit Aria unique is that it is completely wireless and syncs your data over wi-fi.
When you step on the scale, it recognizes who you are (Hi RES!). It then tells you your stats (weight and body fat %) and sends that information wirelessly to your fitbit account. My fitbit account is also synced to myfitnesspal… so no more remembering to log my weight each time.
iPad Mini
I received an iPad mini as part of this #MakeMOREHappen Fitness Campaign with Staples. I have already downloaded my favorite fitness apps, songs, and even homeschool apps on there. I am looking forward to using my iPad mini for at home workouts using the fitness apps, timers, and more!
Favorite Fitness Apps
With technology today, fitness apps are a must have item on my phone (and now iPad mini). A few of my favorite fitness apps are running related, fitness workouts as well as products that will help me with my long term goal of health (weight loss).
These are just a few tools that I will be using to challenge me on my fitness and weight loss journey to #MakeMOREHappen. To help YOU get started on your challenge (or give it the kick start you might need).
I am joining with Staples to offer one lucky reader a $25 iTunes Gift Card to purchase music or fitness apps to help them on their journey.

Hi! Thanks for offering this giveaway!
1 ) Before I got a Garmin, I used MapMyRun. Now, I like HIIT training countdown apps. Also, it’s not an app, but I use my iPhone timer to time how long I do planks (answer: not long), so that’s about as close to a fitness app as I use some days.
2) There are some recent-oldies but goodies on my playlists – Florence and the Machine – Dog Days are Over, Icona Pop – I love it, etc.
3) I’ll get more out of my day by reminding myself to do so (when I sit down to breakfast and lunch)
Thanks again!

Love to hate the Nike apps. Nike + Running app and their NTC app! The Training app is awesome, I even had 24 hour trainers peeping it when I did the workout 🙂
Ganeeban says
Every Kanye song is a great workout song 🙂 I know, not the best human, but good beats and I can pretend to rap while I work out…and sing too!
Ganeeban says
Making lists, whether on a post-it or on some apple device, that’s how I get more out of each day. At work or at home, lists are where it’s at 😉

I use the Nike+ app to track my runs.
Tessa says
By making lists and adding time on my calendar of things that need to be done. If I treat things that need to be done like an appt, then I make time in my day to do it and get it done
Tessa says
Favorite songs for running: I’m shipping up to Boston by the DropKick Murphy’s and price tag by Jessie J
Cynthia says
I use iTunes but that is the extent of my fitness apps as I tend to be more “old school”. It’s an area that I need to explore more.

I try my best to schedule my workouts, especially with friends – it makes me more accountable! Having races on calendar are key. The place I need the most work – the gym – for weights! That is my goal for Summer!

I am a fan of the fitbit product line. It gives you a good snapshot of how active you are throughout the day. I just wish it would track bike riding better.

I will make more happen in a day by staying off the computer. Easier said than done.

fitness apps: the only one is use is runkeeper – I’m out on trails a lot, and there’s really no other way to track the distance
allison says
songs: Icona Pop – I Love It, Macklemore – Can’t Hold Us, Bruno Mars – Runaway Baby, Frank Ti-Aya – Boom Boom Boom are my current most played at the gym. When I’m out on trails I prefer 50s/60s oldies or country.

I am going to/did get more into my day by waking up early before work to go to the gym. I started waking up 4:30-5ish 4/5 days a week a couple of months ago to get my workouts done before work – it has really helped reduce my stress and increase my metabolism. Have a wonderful Memorial day weekend!
Courtney @ Don't Blink. Just Run. says
I use MyFitnessPal, Runkeeper and my Withings app regularly. I have a couple of others, but don’t use them as frequently (Yoga Studio, an Interval app I forget the name of). The Withings app is awesome and the scale I have is Wifi and syncs wirelessly to it, which in turn syncs it to the other apps I mentioned above!
Courtney @ Don't Blink. Just Run. says
Can’t Hold Us is one of my favorite songs to listen to on a run. It totally pumps me up and is even better at the very end of a race when I’m completely exhausted.
Jen says
I use map my run and lots of itune music!

Love My Fitness Pal but I always get so lazy and forget to keep it (so basically love it when I’m using it!) and Nike + so I can estimate how many calories i’ve burned and I love to see my fuel burned number go up 🙂

What kind of nail polish is on your toes? It looks AWESOME!

I’ve been using the Nike app since back in the day when they came out with their Nike+ shoe. Technically, the app has not been around since their Nike+ shoe days but all the runs that I recorded from that time synced from shoe to website, and from website to app. I like that I have history!
Kristen M says
Lose Yourself by Eminem always gives me a kick in the running pants because ““Success is my only *** option, failure’s not.”
Debbie Rodrigues says
I struggle with my scale. Is fit bit’s accurate?
I only heard about fitbit recently, so I’m curious about their products.
Is the giveaway also for non US citizens?
Rachel says
I like fitbit. It is basically a glorified pedometer. 🙂 But I like that it syncs with myfitness pal. I do like the aria scale as that is completely wifi and syncs to my online weightloss program. 🙂 YES. The giveaway is for non US. It is an itunes gift card 😉
Debbie Rodrigues says
Fabulous! So I am joining it too.
By the way, I mentioned it on my blog entry from today: Shout Out Saturday.
Thanks for feedback!
Rachel says
Thank you for joining and the shout out! 🙂

I love running to Toby Mac songs. I’m trying to broaden my horizons, though, so I’ve been searching for other fun songs on iTunes. They’ve got to be fast enough to keep me moving.
Kristin says
My husband and I have started getting up an hour earlier in the morning to exercise before we begin our day. It’s amazing how much more energy I have and how much more I get done during the day with my exercise time out of the way.
