This time of year everyone, okay most people, set aside some time to reflect upon their goals and where they want to be. These resolutions are similar for most people. Mine are really not that unique to any of the goals I have set in previous years. I like having a goal and a plan.
My main goal for 2014 is to keep my priorities in order: Faith, Family, Fitness. Everything else will, should, fall in line accordingly if I keep my priorities in order.
For my more specific goals I will take a shot, be realistic, stay strong and dedicated. Committed to my journey to reach my goal and persist when it gets hard. I will not doubt the training and push through to succeed!
Below are my broad 2014 goals I am focusing on this year. As the year progresses I will define and specify each goal… but for now, these are what my focus is this year.
Faith & Family: Spend more time… quality time… with those I love.
It has been on my heart the past few months to do a Bible study WITH my husband. I desire to not only grow closer to Him… but also my husband. I believe this goes two fold for growing in my faith as well as our family.
Fitness: Run Faster. Run Further. Lift Heavier. Lift More.
Yes, that is a broad goal for 2014. I would love to set some personal bests in the half marathon and even the full marathon. I want to learn to LOVE lifting heavy… and ultimately growing stronger.
Focus: Focus on what is important… and set aside what is not as important.
This is not to say that blogging or social media isn’t important, it is just that if it conflicts with time with the family or other priorities, I need to log off and plug in to what is important.
Stay tuned because I have a feeling there are some amazing things in store for 2014! I am excited to share that I am a Girls Gone Sport Ambassador as well as a TDF Bombshell Ambassador this year. I am also excited to share that I will be running the Los Angeles Marathon as an ASICS Blogger. Exciting and big things… yet at the same time knowing that I need to keep my priorities in order: faith, family, fitness, fun… in order to be successful at any of my goals!
