A new week means a new plan. The countdown clock has begun for my fun fall race schedule. I have been enjoying the challenge and accountability of my training plan my coach Tiffany has created. I am never bored. I am always challenged. Even when I feel that I can not do it, I dig deep and am surprised that I have it in me to accomplish the prescribed workout. Good stuff.
I am finding that the conditions will never be perfect. It is hot. Rainy. Humid. Cold. Tired. Hungry. Kids are with me. Child is sleeping. There is always an excuse. Yet, if I wait until the time is exactly right I will never reach my goal. The time is now. No more putting off for tomorrow what I can start today!
That inspirational bit aside, here is my training plan for this week. I am finding that fitting in fitness while homeschooling three little active bodies DOES prove challenging… but not impossible. It just requires a bit more juggling and prioritizing.
Monday – 6 mile tempo run (treadmill) + planks + hollow rocks
Tuesday – 8×200 + 50 situps + 200 walking lunges + 5×5 weighted squats + Speed 2.0 (t25!)
Wednesday – 2×1 mile run + 50 jump squats (or box jumps) + 5×5 dips + 5×5 press & DL + T25 Rip’t Circuit
Thursday – T25 Dynamic Core
Friday – T25 Upper Focus
Saturday – T25 Core Cardio
I am traveling to visit family and will not be running… so my training plan will be videos and staying active with my family. Who knows, I might run… but I do not plan on leaving my family to head out in unknown territory to run. I can still fit in fitness WITH family… and by myself with an awesome workout video.

I’ve never done the ‘gym’ thing… I did jazzercise for awhile & enjoyed the energy of others… but not so much the ‘personalities’ of others, if you know what I mean. The competitive ones that get angry if you’re in ‘their place’ or want to make everyone feel bad if they’re doing high impact & you’re low impact… blah…
I mostly work out at home.. & don’t mind it one bit.. convenient – that’s for sure.

Thanks for the motivation today. I’ve been struggling lately with my weight loss efforts and training – but really, it all comes down to excuses. The time to turn it around is right now!
