Hi there and happy Thursday! The past few weeks I have been sharing with YOU some things that I have been loving lately. These things are either products, recipes, activities or words of encouragement that have spoken to me this past week. I love it and wanted to share with you!
This is where my things I am loving lately post comes into play. In this post, I simply want to share with you a few things that I have found that I am enjoying… and hope you will like them too!
faith
I am totally being challenged my my study on Daniel by Beth Moore. She has been talking about our Babylon society (today) and how we live similar to how they did. Our gross excess wants far outweighs our needs… that we fail to recognize what we really need!
Think about it, every day we are bombarded with images and sales that we need to LOOK like this and HAVE that. When in reality, we don’t NEED that… we just WANT it. I have challenged myself to look at my wants and needs differently… because I don’t want to be catapulted so far out that I cease to recognize my needs.
family
Last weekend, I flew back to Missouri for a whirlwind adventure for my grandmother’s funeral. It was a sad trip… yet a time of celebrating. My grandmother lived a rich life, a FULL life, and leaves behind a legacy of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and many people who love her. I love my grandma. However, what I am sharing with you today… things I am loving… is that I was able to see, hangout with and love on my two sisters.
I always love my sisters… but we live so far apart. I live in California, S lives in New York, and J lives in Missouri. We don’t see each other as often as we like. Life is busy with work, kids, different time zones and more. But what I loved this weekend… is that we were able to reconnect and spend time together. Aren’t they just so stinkin’ beautiful!! I’ve got good looking sisters (and my middle sister is single!!)
fitness
One of the things I love about my job, as a blogger, is that I am sent some pretty awesome fitness gear to review and share my experience with YOU! Last week I was sent a pair of Jaybird Bluebuds x. A premium secure fit wireless buds.
I have been a fan of yurbuds for years, but my biggest complaint about them (and any headset) is the wires. They always get stuck, tangled, or caught on something when I am running. Which is very distracting.
These secure fit bluebuds have NO wires! It was SUPER easy to set up and get started. I have small ears, and was able to pick a size of ear buds that would fit my ears for a secure and snug fit. It also synced wirelessly with bluetooth to my iphone. I was in business to enjoy my run in a matter of minutes!
It DOES have a wire that loops the two ear buds together. One suggestion was to wear that on the base of your neck, but even THAT annoyed the snot out of me. I just flipped the cord above my pony tail and viola… no annoying wires!
PLUS another super cool thing about these bluebuds is that I can control my music from the headset… without reaching (or digging) for my ipod! I can click a button for volume, skip song, pause, or even answer my phone!
The big question is are these as comfortable as my yurbuds. Yes and no. Yes they are comfortable… but in a different way. They don’t snap and lock like yurbuds… meaning (for me) they are not as secure in not falling out. However, there is NO pain in my ear when wearing and I just readjust the ear piece (that looks like a half moon) to secure a fit back into place to hold the buds in my ear.
I highly recommend trying these out if you are tired of wresting the wires of your headphones!!

food
Have you ever heard of Kona Kase? Kona Kase is similar to Nature Box because healthy goodies are sent to you via a box each month. However, where Kona Kase differs is that the items in the kase are specific to fuel your lifestyle. The items in the kase are not only healthy but they are energy giving products for the active person.
My kona kase this month included a bunch of yummy goodies to help fuel my many adventures with the boys. It included cookies, jerky, granola, bars, chia, gel and more! I received the box yesterday… and I must admit that half my box is in my tummy. Good stuff, I tell ya! Items I wouldn’t think to pick up off the shelf to try and buy… but I am glad I did!
fun
Life is always an adventure… and my boys are always out seeking the next fun thing we do together. The thing I am loving lately about fun that I want to share with you is simply spending time in the pool swimming. My crazy monkeys LOVE the water. As a mom who loves the water too… it is so neat seeing how far they have progressed and grown with their strokes and ease in the water.
We swim multiple times a week (not as often as the boys would like) and always have fun when we do. Thank goodness for heated pools for when the 100 degrees leave and the cooler temperatures of fall return… because swimming is year round fun here in California!
These are a few things I am loving lately regarding faith, family, fitness, food and fun. I hope you enjoyed my review of the JayBird Bluebuds X and Kona Kase. If you are looking to try a new product you should check them out.
