Happy handstand Friday! If you have been following my blog over the past few weeks, you know that I have challenged myself (and you) to attempt, do, and photograph myself doing a handstand each week. This is a fun way to challenge my physical strength, flexibility, balance and more! Happy hand standing!
This week I chose to do my handstands while at the park with the boys. We have been spending the majority of our days exploring and playing at our communities parks. It was no surprise when we spent yesterday morning AND afternoon venturing to and about new parks to play at.
Parks are fun. Handstands are fun. Parks bring out the kid in me. Handstands bring out the kid in me. Parks and handstands (for me) go hand in hand. It brings back memories of all the years my girlfriends and I would perfect our gymnastic skills on the grass. Good memories. Good times.

Impressive! I did take my girls to the park yesterday but I can’t say I did a handstand! 🙂

Thanks for inspiring so many of us to join along…. it is so awesome to FEEL each week how the handstand is taller, straighter, no longer against a wall, able to hold it for a few seconds. My family does not even think it is strange anymore when I ask them to take my handstand pictures in random places – and they are thankful that I have gotten stronger because it no longer takes 50 tries =)

Yes!! I even had an instructor at my gym this morning say, “Hey it is handstand Friday! Let me see your handstand!” Only for C, P & T to show him their handstand skills… and then I busted out mine (all in the front area of our gym – near the couches/TV/front desk!!) 🙂

Rachel – I love this challenge. My family does handstand sessions every so often and it’s a great way to challenge myself in a whole new way and tap into the girl who loved gymnastics so many years ago. Hard to do but getting better! What a great way to tap into kids stuff to get stronger!
