Thanksgiving Memories with #McCormickGravy #spon

I will admit, I am not the worlds greatest cook.  I do like to experiment in the kitchen by pretending to be a mad scientist.  I use recipes as a guide and not as a must follow exactly tool.  Which is why my meals always taste different, even my go to favorite meals.  Variety is the spice of life, eh?

Growing up, I was the oldest of three girls.  Funny how God throws you a curve ball in your life (as I am the mom to three boys).  We were not the biggest girly-girls but we did enjoy helping my mom in the kitchen for the holiday meals.

My favorite side dish was mashed potatoes.  There was something about those white fluffy goodness that just set my heart a pitter patter!  It was like liquid white gold for this little girls heart.  I loved it.  You would even be able to see a pronounced excitement in myself and my sisters after preparing and even eating them.

There is something about Thanksgiving meal and having mashed potatoes and gravy that bring back good memories of home.  I do not live near family, nor do I get the chance to see them for the holidays as often as I would like.  One of the disadvantages of living in California when the rest of my family live back east.

I do have my memories, and I am delighted to share the tradition with my boys.  They love to help in the kitchen.  Using the McCormick’s gravy is easy even my 6 and 4 year old can help out too!

Although my Thanksgiving plate will not look nearly as pretty as the photo below… I am hoping that your Thanksgiving dinner plate will look just as nice!
