Happy fitness inspiration Friday! This week’s fitness inspiration is a fun girl who I know you are going to love! I am excited to introduce you to CandyFit!
To make a long story short, I did absolutely no physical activity for 7 years nor I did I watch what I ate (let alone cook very often!). I couldn’t have cared less about any of that!
Finally, two years ago, a light went off (not literally) and I told myself enough was enough. I needed to take better care of myself (actually, I needed to start, period.). From that moment onward, I committed myself to a lifestyle in Health and Fitness. With the direction and guidance I received from my Trainer, now Boyfriend, I discovered a passion for so many things within this lifestyle I never knew existed (and continue to do so!)!
In and around the middle of my journey, I decided to do something I never thought imaginable by someone like me (the ‘me’ that was often labeled as ‘lazy’!).
So what did I do?!
I decided to compete in a Fitness Competition. In July 2011, I ended up coming in 1st Place in the IDFA Novice Figure Tall Category. It was an unforgettable experience to say the least!!! The goal wasn’t to win (nope, but it was definitely an added bonus!!!), but yet to show myself and to others that you can make your goals a reality! Getting on that stage proved I could push myself beyond what I ever thought possible!
So what now?!
I’m working towards my first Half Marathon. I’m really excited about this new venture as running and me have never been very good friends (up until recently!). Also, I just signed up for my first 10k race, which I’m totally psyched about!
Okay so I know I said I would make this long story short (but I am a Blogger after all! lol), so I will end with this:
Believe and Trust in yourself because you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. Live and Be Healthy and most importantly, find your Balance.
I LOVE Weight Training, Cycling, Spinning and Running (never thought I would say that)!
“If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan but never the goal!” In other words, don’t get discouraged! There is a way of reaching your goals, you just might have to make a few left and right turns to get there. Don’t give up! 🙂

Thank you for this inspiring post! I am at the veeerrrryyyy beginning. I’m hitting those roadblocks where I’m like “I can’t do this.” But I won’t listen. Love that quote you ended with. Change the plans, not the goal. SOOO TRUE!
