Wordless Wednesday: Homeschooling Adventures

I have decided to homeschool the two little boys.  We do a hodge podge of school at home activities.  I have utilized many of my teaching resources I have accumulated over the years, as well as getting inspired by the many great and FREE ideas over at Pinterest.

I do a lot of learning on the go (we discuss nature, colors, shapes, letters, and more while on our morning run/walks).

We do a lot of play based learning with our legos, play-doh, crafts, G.I. Joes, and more.

I am utilizing programs such as Hooked on Phonics, Starfall, Reading Eggs, and Zoo Phonics for the boys language lessons.  I also purchased Confessions of  Homeschooler’s Letter of the Week curriculum.  There are so many great programs out there to teach, entertain, and enjoy the love of learning with your children.

We are still working out the kinks with homeschooling the boys.  Their personalities and learning style is the biggest hurdle for me.  As well as finding and establishing a working routine that works for everyone.

So far homeschooling works for us.  We are still undecided at this point on how or IF we will be homeschooling our oldest in the future.

Homeschooling is an adventure… and adventure is always something new, challenging and exciting!
