I love FOOD and FITNESS … my battle

I love to eat good food.  I love a good sweaty workout!  I find that I love to workout because I love to eat good food.  It is a constant battle.

I don’t’ know about you, but I always get a good chuckle when I read these yourecards.  Sometimes they stab me with conviction so close to the heart!  The image below is very true for me.

What is your relationship between food and fitness?

I rollover good food. I love “bad” food. I just love to eat. Its enjoyable to cook, bake, and food makes me happy. I also love to sweat. I enjoy hard workouts and knowing I’m burning the calories. However, I can’t deny that I don’t think about not running and eating. I feel fat. I shouldn’t. But, when I don’t get so many miles in and eat like I normally do I feel fat, guilty and lazy. I def don’t run to eat because running is my gift and passion, but when I don’t I feel gross.

I can relate. The challenge I have right now though is because I’m still trying to lose, I can’t indulge too often or I plateau. I also love to cook and bake so this has helped because I have learned to love trying to find healthier alternatives for foods I love. One of my favorites is no crust pizza made in the cap of a portabella mushroom.
