Happy Fitness Inspiration Friday! Welcome to another week where I feature a fitness fanatic from across the web. Each week it is my hope to introduce you to a new face in the fitness blogging world, to inspire and encourage you to live a healthy lifestyle.
This week’s fitspiration is Courtney from Sweet Tooth Sweet Life!
I definitely was not always into fitness. My high school years were fairly active, as I participated on volleyball, bowling, and softball teams. However, when I wasn’t playing sports, my time was often spent lounging. I’ve also had asthma all of my life, which often left me fearing any sort of extra activity. As I transitioned into college, things remained pretty much the same; maybe an occasional workout at the fitness center with my roommate, but that was about it. My true fitness journey never really began until I started writing my blog. All of a sudden, I found myself immersed in so much talk about health and fitness and finally, I didn’t want to just read about it from others…I wanted to do it. Since beginning my blog in April 2010, fitness has become such a major passion of mine that it has even served as the catalyst for me to completely switch careers. This past year, I left my job as an elementary school teacher, began studying for my NASM Certified Personal Trainer exam, and I am now working full time as a personal trainer, loving every second of it.
My fitness LOVE? Oh gosh…I feel like there’s so many ways that this could be answered! But I think I’m just going to have to go with he first thing that popped into my mind, and that would be my fitness LOVE is the outcome. I love the fact that I am in love with fitness. I love the feeling I get after a killer workout, and I love it even more when I roll out of bed the next day with sore muscles. I love the “high” a good workout gives me, and I love seeing the results that I know I’ve worked so hard on.
Do what you love. There’s no sense in wasting your precious, busy schedule on a workout that you can’t have fun with. Find a few activities that make you want to keep coming back for more. If you hate running, then why subject yourself to the treadmill? Try a spinning class, or a Zumba class instead. Whatever it is, once you find it, you’ll be more motivated than ever to continue on with your own fitness journey.

I tried a zumba class in my local gym I love it so much I joined the gym right away. Basically I join the gym solely for zumba class. They offer twice a week, the monthly membership is $40, so that’s about $5 per class. I also see individual teachers in my area, they charge 10 classes for $100. And I saw some people got the deal of $299 for 2 year membership at 24 fitness center, and the center offer 4 times a week, that’s a great deal! Too bad I live in the east we don’t have 24 fitness center here. So how much you pay for your class? I feel the best case is to join a gym that offers zumba classes. It’s normally cheaper than pay for dance studios or per class basis.
