What has @RunningRachel Been Up To!?

A few weeks ago I shared that God had something BIG planned for my family.  My husband applied for and received a promotion with his job; thus relocating our family 3 hours from our familiar surroundings.  We would be moving away from friends, our church, school, and where my three boys were born.

Change was happening.  Change is good.

God has his own timing.  It is always good.  It may not be our timing, but it is always perfect.  If you recall from my previous post:  We had two weeks to find a place to live.  In a town where we were completely unfamiliar.  In a place where we knew no one.

Change is scary.

We spent three days in the big city of Sacramento.  Driving from one area to the next in search of our new home.  Googling the snot out of crime rates and school district scores.  Our lists were full of homes and apartments to tour.

However our massive list of future homes slowly dwindled down to one choice.  It was a beautiful home in a great neighborhood.  It had everything that we desire… but it was at the top of our budget and they were not accepting pets.  We have a dog.

God provides.

The morning the boys and I are driving to the airport for our Missouri trip, we receive an email from the agent that we were approved (with acceptance of our pet Daisy (dog)!!).  Which means my husband and his parents would be moving our home 3 hours south in less than a week, while the boys and I were 3,000 miles away.

While California and Missouri were experiencing an incredible heat wave: my husband was moving and we were visiting family.  Life is an adventure.

The boys and I had a wonderful (crazy busy) visit back in Missouri.  My husband and his parents successfully moved our home 3 hours south to our new home.

brothers, running rachel

We are slowly making our new place a home.  I am thankful for GPS to help guide me to the local Target and Farmers Market in the area.  As well as the abundance of U-turn options in our area!

I am still unpacking, finding things, and tiding up loose ends around the home: school, blogging goodies, and more. But slowly and surely I am going to rock the good ‘ol town of Sacramento!
