To GYM or NOT to GYM… that is the question!?

I am trying to decide whether or not my family and I should join a local gym.  I know, it sounds like a silly thing to discuss here… but it is a huge dilemma for me.

I know that I do NOT need a gym membership to get a good sweat session in.  I do NOT need a gym membership to lose weight, gain strength, or run.

However, a gym membership would give me the opportunity to have uninterrupted workouts (putting the boys in their kid zone).  As well as have more opportunities to meet new fitness friends and use different equipment.

PLUS I am super cheap!  The thought of spending money (that could be used elsewhere) for a gym membership isn’t that appealing to me.

Yet on the flip side… Mommy will be happier having a gym membership because she would get daily breaks from the whining, screaming and fighting… all while getting her endorphins going.

What would you do?
To gym or not to gym?

I would do it. I feel the same way you do about spending the money and needing the gym. But, I have to say, I am a fan of the classes at my gym to keep me motivated when I am not training for a race. And, of course, the mommy time is worth the expense!

I’m the wrong one to ask because I haven’t stepped foot in a gym in like 13 yrs!!!!
Though I want to.
I haven’t…for one big reason…I’m cheap! And while I ‘could’ join for like $30/month that’s $30/month I dont have right now so I stick to pushups, mostfit suspension straps, running, biking…
though I do covet a gym membership…but dont want to pay for it! LOL
