Happy Fitness Inspiration Friday! Each week I feature a friend who inspires me to live a fit and active lifestyle. This week’s FitSpiration, I am excited to introduce you to my friend Amanda.
Tell me a little bit about your fitness journey
I have always been a very active person, when I was younger soccer was my passion. Until a massive knee injury at 15 made me change my goals….14 years later I started running to lose weight, I discovered how much I love running and now I even have a ’30 races while at age 30′ challenge with myself!
My fitness love is now running! I used to LOVE lifting (still do) but running is something that I never thought I could do after 4 knee operations and exercise induced asthma. I will never be an elite (or fast) runner, but I keep going just the same.
What is your ONE piece of fitness advice you find helpful to keep you motivated?
Always remember there are people who can’t run. That motivates me to get off the couch and remember how happy I am that my knee and lungs cooperate with my running!
You can read and follow Amanda on her blog, facebook (ThereAreTwoSides), and pinterest!
