Living in the MOMent

by Rachel on November 25, 2011

My #mefirst challenge and goal for this week has been to live in the moment.  I have found that this is more challenging than I expected.

I titled the post Living in the MOMent, because I am a MOM.  Each moment involves me being Mom.  My responsibilities for my family,  around the house, and even in social media.  Mom is my title each and every moment of my day.  Yet, actually living in the moment is very challenging for me.

Pinned ImageLiving in the moment means putting aside the distractions, the to do list, and my favorite: multi-tasking.  When I am living in the moment, I am fully present

The funny side effect for being fully present in the moment is that it can be super emotional!  Who knew that I would belly laugh, shed tears with a hurt child, or really really hear my child?

Living in the moment is teaching me to treasure each and every small moment.

Living in the moment is teaching me to slow down and enjoy each and every moment.

Living in the moment is being fully present. I have a feeling that I will continually need to work on my goal of living each day to the fullest in the moment… not worrying about the future or past… just be present.

I love this post! So often we forget to live in the MOMent – and those are moments we won’t get back – no matter how clean our home is or how scheduled our lives are!

I totally agree. I just need to have this friendly reminder on my forehead EACH and EVERY day! ;)
